As reported in our Newsletters, there is a trend away from rituals such as funerals or celebrations of life. From our knowledge of grief, we recognize that this is a backward step in our society. There is a need to document this trend and provide leadership toward maintaining traditional resources for those grieving people, who are very significantly distressed but live in virtual isolation?
SALGES was founded as a direct response to the October 14th, 1997 Grief Seminar led by Ben Wolfe from Duluth, Minnesota. As an Organization, we have had many visions for the future. Some of our dreams have been fulfilled whereas others await development.
